Important CORONAVIRUS UPDATES FROM North Shore Community Church

  • March 19, Please watch this important video update from Pastor John

    March 17, 2019 UPDATE

    Dear NSCC Family,

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).

As our Long Island community faces the Covid 19 virus, the elders of our church have decided that our large and small group gatherings will meet ONLINE ONLY for the remainder of March. On Sunday mornings we hope you will gather with us online at 10 AM for our music, times of extended prayer, testimonies and our continued study through the gospel of Matthew. We will be live streaming at our website and on our church app. That way, though we are apart, we can still be together as a church family.

We also want to stay together using online tools such as Google Hangouts or Zoom or Facebook live for groups like Faith Builders, Friday Night Live, Wednesday Prayer Meeting, Sermon Response and, hopefully, your small group. This will be a new experience for many of us, but once you get used to it, it works pretty well! And, of course, call your friends and enjoy fellowship over the phone and pray for each other!

Our church staff will be busy seeking to help all of us “Know Christ and Make Him Known.” Please send us your ideas, pastoral needs, and prayer requests. Our contact information is below. My cell phone is 516-680-9340. My office number is 516-922-7322 x 101.

God is at work, shaking the world. Please join me and pray that many people would turn their eyes to Jesus and find him to be their Creator and Redeemer - just as we have.

    Warmly in Christ,

    Pastor John

    Frequently asked questions:

Q: Has anyone at NSCC tested positive for coronavirus?

While there have been no cases of coronavirus reported by anyone attending or affiliated with NSCC, we believe it’s best to be proactive by holding our meetings online for the next two weeks at which time we will evaluate next steps. Global experience is showing that social distancing is one of the best protections against the virus, which has the potential to spread rapidly in communities.

Q: How do I continue to give toward what God is doing at NSCC?

    1. Give online a one time or recurring gift by clicking here.

    2. Mail your gift to NSCC 213 South St. Oyster Bay, NY 11771

May our giving continue to be intentional, joyful, sacrificial and generous as we support our staff, our missionaries and our ministries during this crucial time.

Q: Who do I call if I have a pastoral need?
