Who We Are


Our purpose as a church is "To know Christ and make Him known."  We strive to live out that purpose by sharing Christ with each other, our community, and the world as we Celebrate, Communicate and Cultivate the glory and love of God on the North Shore of Long Island, NY.

Sundays

Sunday morning at NSCC is a time of joining together for fellowship, prayer, worship, and reflection. Whether you're a regular part of our church family or just visiting, we welcome you, just as you are. 



  • Worship Services at 9:30am & 11:00am  Nursery care provided
  • Adult Sunday School - 10:00am
  • Middle School Sunday School - 10:00am
  • Senior High Sunday School - 10:00am
  • The Bridge (6th & 7th) - 11:15am -The Bridge helps 6th and 7th graders and their parents learn the skills to be able to listen intelligently and worshipfully to the sermon.


  • Children's Church (K - 5th) - 11:15am -12:30pm (following family worship in the sanctuary) - Teachers help children understand what is happening in the “big church” by presenting a Bible lesson and worship in a fun and age-appropriate way.
  • Children's Sunday School (K - 5th) - 11:40am -12:30pm (following Children's Church) - Exciting lessons and teacher-student class discussions introduce children to key people, events and lessons in the Bible.
  • Toddler Program (ages 3-4) 11:15am - 12:30pm (following family worship in the sanctuary) - Toddlers enjoy attentive care and learning in a safe age appropriate environment.
  • Fellowship Time - 10:45am & 12:15pm, Join us in the fellowship hall for bagels, coffee and a time of connecting with one another.
  • Reserved first time visitor parking spaces are located in front of the church on South Street!

Upcoming Events

  • Women's Book Group -  The next Women’s Book Group discussion will take place on Friday, September 29 at 7pm at the home of Nina Yenchko. We will be discussing Three Sisters, Three Queens by Philippa Gregory.  Please pick up a copy of the book and plan on joining us!  Please RSVP to Nina Yenchko at nina.yenchko@gmail.com
  • NSCC will be hosting a Free Flu Vaccine Clinic. The clinic will be open to everyone on Sunday, October 7 in the church office right after the worship service and on Saturday morning, October 8 at 9am along with the Food Pantry. No appointment is necessary. 
  • Family Craft Night - Friday, October 6 from 7 to 9pm. Egg carton fun! This event is limited to 15 children and parents are encouraged to stay. We're collecting cardboard egg cartons. Please bring them in! RSVP to Lydia Rodgers at lydianscc@gmail.com   

  • 20s & 30s Fellowship  - will take place on Saturday, October 14 at 6:00pm at the home of Eric and Alexis Newell in Huntington. We will have a potluck dinner and game night! RSVP Eric Newell 516-849-6534 or eric.r.new@gmail.com
