Who We Are


Our purpose as a church is "To know Christ and make Him known."  We strive to live out that purpose by sharing Christ with each other, our community, and the world as we Celebrate, Communicate and Cultivate the glory and love of God on the North Shore of Long Island, NY.

Sunday morning at NSCC is a time of joining together for fellowship, prayer, worship, and reflection. Whether you're a regular part of our church family or just visiting, we welcome you, just as you are.


  • Worship Services at 9:30am & 11:00am  Nursery care provided
  • Adult Sunday School - 10:00am
  • Middle School Sunday School - 10:00am (Resumes in September)
  • Senior High Sunday School - 10:00am (Resumes in September)
  • Children's Church (K - 5th) - 11:15am -12:30pm (following family worship in the sanctuary) - Teachers help children understand what is happening in the “big church” by presenting a Bible lesson and worship in a fun and age-appropriate way.
  • Children's Sunday School (K - 5th) - 11:40am -12:30pm (following Children's Church) - Exciting lessons and teacher-student class discussions introduce children to key people, events and lessons in the Bible. (Resumes in September)
  • Toddler Program (ages 3-4) 11:15am - 12:30pm (following family worship in the sanctuary) - Toddlers enjoy attentive care and learning in a safe age appropriate environment.
  • Fellowship Time - 10:45am & 12:15pm, Join us in the fellowship hall for bagels, coffee and a time of connecting with one another.
  • Reserved first time visitor parking spaces located in front of the church on South Street!

  • Sisters Night Out - The next Sisters Night Out will take place on Saturday, June 24 at 6:30pm at the home of Michelle Pomeroy in Woodbury. Trade and Bring a Dish Party. Invite your friends to a great evening of fellowship! RSVP to Andrea Chin at andrea.chin@gmail.com.
  • Missions Banquet - We invite you to come hear an exciting vision for our NSCC commitment to missions at our annual Missions Banquet on Saturday, July 8 from 6-8pm in the Fellowship Hall. Please come support our summer missions to Haiti and the Hana Mission. An amazing culinary experience will be provided by Chef Sal Sprufero! A missions donation collection will be received.   • Men's Hike - Take a Hike, Men! Saturday, July 22 from 8:30am to 11:00am. We will meet at the church for breakfast followed by a non-strenuous hike through Planting Fields Arboretum Historic Park. Kevin Heaphy will be our field guide. Please RSVP to Lydia Rodgers at lydianscc@gmail.com
  • Summer Picnic - The annual NSCC Picnic will take place on Sunday, July 23 at 12:30 pm at Theodore Roosevelt Park, area 1. We’ll have burgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks and games. Bring a side dish such as beans or potato salad and join the fun!
  • Women's Book Group - The next Women’s Book Group discussion will take place on Saturday, July 29 at 12pm-2pm at the home of Dorothea Christie in Lloyd Neck. We will be discussing Vinegar Girl by Ann Tyler. Please pick up a copy of the book and plan on joining us! Please RSVP to Dorothea at dottiechristie@aol.com
