Who We Are


Our purpose as a church is "To know Christ and make Him known."  We strive to live out that purpose by sharing Christ with each other, our community, and the world as we Celebrate, Communicate and Cultivate the glory and love of God on the North Shore of Long Island, NY.

Sundays

Sunday morning at NSCC is a time of joining together for fellowship, prayer, worship, and reflection. Whether you're a regular part of our church family or just visiting, we welcome you, just as you are. 



  • Worship Services at 9:30am & 11:00am  Nursery care provided
  • Adult Sunday School - 10:00am
  • Middle School Sunday School - 10:00am
  • Senior High Sunday School - 10:00am
  • The Bridge (6th & 7th) - 11:15am -The Bridge helps 6th and 7th graders and their parents learn the skills to be able to listen intelligently and worshipfully to the sermon.


  • Children's Church (K - 5th) - 11:15am -12:30pm (following family worship in the sanctuary) - Teachers help children understand what is happening in the “big church” by presenting a Bible lesson and worship in a fun and age-appropriate way.
  • Children's Sunday School (K - 5th) - 11:40am -12:30pm (following Children's Church) - Exciting lessons and teacher-student class discussions introduce children to key people, events and lessons in the Bible.
  • Toddler Program (ages 3-4) 11:15am - 12:30pm (following family worship in the sanctuary) - Toddlers enjoy attentive care and learning in a safe age appropriate environment.
  • Fellowship Time - 10:45am & 12:15pm, Join us in the fellowship hall for bagels, coffee and a time of connecting with one another.
  • Reserved first time visitor parking spaces are located in front of the church on South Street!

  • 2018 Church Conference at the Brookhaven Hampton Inn January 12-14. Sessions: Friday, 7:30-9:00pm; Saturday 10:00-12:00pm, 2:30-4:00pm, 7:00-8:30pm; Sunday, 10:30am-12:00pm. For more information contact the church office at nsccoffice@optonline.net
  • The next meeting of Faithbuilders Friday Night will take place on Friday, January 26 from 7:00-9:00pm. Join us at the church for an evening of family fellowship and spiritual growth for all ages. An adult Bible Study, MHi and AWANA all take place at the same time! Childcare provided for the youngest.
  • The next Women’s Book Group discussion will take place on Friday, January 26, at 7pm at the home of Nina Yenchko in East Norwich. We will be discussing Commonwealth by Ann Patchett. If you enjoy reading a variety of styles and types of books and would like to get together to enjoy a nice meal and talk about what you just read - then join us! RSVP to nina.yenchko@gmail.com
  • Sister’s night out Saturday, January 27 at 6:30pm at the home of Nina Yenchko on Attention ladies, we will be hosting a pot luck dinner and baby shower for the women of Soundview Pregnancy Center. Please bring one of the following as a gift: bx of diaper (any size), wipes, new baby clothes with tags still on or a small donation to Soundview.   • The next NSCC Brother’s Night Out will take place on Sunday, February 4. We will gather at the home of Mike Louie at 5:30pm to watch the Super Bowl! Please bring a potluck dish to share. RSVP to Mike at 516-732-9268 or louiemi@yahoo.com
