NSCC Membership Class - Spring 2022

Dear NSCC Church Family,

Although this season of COVID-19 has been difficult for everyone, I am grateful to God that morale seems to be high in the life of our church. We've had to make significant adjustments, but people have had servant hearts and willing spirits, eager to walk with the Lord and grow in their faith.

Each year, I lead the church membership process for those who believe God is calling them to be part of our church family. I send this letter to you to ask you to consider doing just that. It takes a bit of your time for the membership orientation gatherings and then we ask you to pray and make your decision. We will meet in the church office living room (and also on zoom if you have to attend with us remotely) for two sessions:

Session 1: Sunday, April 24 from 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Session 2: Sunday, May 1 from 12:30pm - 1:30pm

(If you do desire to join with us, but these dates don't work, I am happy to get with you or zoom with you personally, if necessary, for a "make up session.") If, after taking Membership Orientation, you believe God is calling you to join North Shore Community Church, then you will have an opportunity to speak about becoming a member with a few elders at a scheduled appointment after that. Then, you'll have the joy of publicly joining our church family during the worship service on Sunday, June 5, 2022.

Please understand that joining the church is simply a matter of publicly claiming Christ as your Savior and saying that you want to enjoy the special gifts each of us receives from being part of God's family - each other. That's why the elders asked me to write this letter to you. You have experienced worship and fellowship with us, and I hope you want to learn more about what we believe and how we love God together.

Right now is a great time for you to consider joining North Shore. Since every disciple of Jesus Christ must walk out their commitment in the context of a local church, Membership Orientation serves to help you discern if God is calling you to walk out your faith here at North Shore Community Church.
